Florence Nightingale

We discussed Florence Nightingale and why she was significant. We learned how she was cared for the soldiers and helped them to improve conditions in the hospitals. We made our own la​ ​nterns to show how Florence brought light and hope to the soldiers during the night.

Home Bird Hoot
Our book this term is all about Owls, we have watched videos on the movement of owls, we have discussed what they look like. This term we created our own, and described them using words from our word bank. We are super proud of them!
Oracy
This term we are focusing on building sentences. We used our stem sentence
'I notice that the owl has...'. We are developing our non verbal skills too to build our listening and turn taking skills.  

Place Value

We are working on our understanding of numbers, and showing our numerals in different ways. We had fun building our number tracks and matching them up to our numbers. 

Our visit to St Mary's church
In RE we are learning all about belonging. Today 21.9.26 we visited church to speak to Rev.Catherine about what is means to belong to church. We also had a tour to find out about the different parts of church. Ww came back to school and created a word bank of all the words associated with belonging. We sketched our church from looking at different images from the past and present.
