The Colour Monster

We have had a great start to the new term! Our key text has been The Colour Monster. It has allowed us to explore different emotions, colours and our zones of regulation. We have been trying to recognise and talk about our feelings while making 'emotion potions' and listening to different types of music. We have been identifying different colours and sorting objects using the tweezers as well as threading different coloured beads to develop our finger muscles. We have created our own colour monsters with the Playdough and loose parts. It has been lovely to see the children adding different emotions to their pictures and talking about what makes them feel happy, sad or angry.
