Our Science Curriculum

We aim to nurture our children’s natural curiosity about the world around them, embracing their sense of wonder and guiding them to become confident, enquiry-based learners. Science at our school focuses on developing children’s ideas and approaches to working scientifically, enabling them to make sense of the world in which they live. We want our children to understand the role, impact, and importance of science and why it is vital to the future prosperity of our world. Scientific enquiry skills are embedded within every topic studied, with concepts revisited and built upon throughout the children’s time at our school. Topics are taught and regularly reviewed using the White Rose Science scheme to ensure secure understanding and progression.
